Napoli have contacted Lille for Ivorian striker Nicolas Pépé. The French club seems open to negotiate the sale of Pépé and they could accept to include Adam Ounas - a player for whom Lille have already shown intere in - in the deal, for a total value of 60/65 million. The involvement of the Algerian winger in the deal could help Napoli to lower the part in cash that De Laurentiis' club would pay to Lille.
However, the main obstacle at the moment is to persuade the player to join Napoli, since he is evaluating some offers from Premier League clus as well as from PSG. Napoli and Lille keep negotiating, as Pépé could become more than just a dream for the Partenopei.

Nicolas Pépé's agents have arrived at the Dimaro Sports Center (by helicopter) to negotiate the future of the 24-year-old with Napoli. Currently owned by Ligue 1's Lille, the French club have already stated that they are willing to start a negotiation, that foresees the inclusion of Adam Ounas as a counterpart in the deal. Today's meeting can be decisive for obtaining the right-winger's approval on the transfer: the request is for €5 million in commissions and €5 million per season for the Ivory Coast international.

Napoli meanwhile offered €3.5m net plus a €500k signing bonus. There is competition from Manchester United in signing Pépé, and the negotiations with Napoli remain complicated. But compared to two weeks ago the player has opened significantly to a move to Serie A. The negotiations with Lille continue, as Ounas and Verdi could be pieces sent back in return.
